Yu-Gi-Oh ARC-V Chapter 3

    Later in the morning, when Yuya just woke up one morning to prepare for school, he was soon greeted by not just his Mother, Yoko Sakaki, who looked like a a fairly tall and youthful-looking woman of slender built with blue eyes and light skin. She has long blond hair the front bangs being golden in color. Her hair is tied in a ponytail and sections out as spikes. Her bangs part to the right side and frame her face. She is commonly seen wearing and aqua-colored long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans with brown low shoes. She also accessories with silver big-loop earrings, two golden bands on her left wrist, and a small golden necklace hanging under her neck. But also greeting him was Drake and Shadala, which made Yuya fall into alarm.

"Gah!!! What are you two doing here!?!?!" Yuya exclaimed.

"Relax will you?" Drake assured him

"Yeah Yuya, this is only temporary, once we get into our tournament, we will soon be out of your hair in no time at all." Shadala explained.

"Hmph! The sooner the better!!!" he pouted.

"Now, Yuya, that is no way to talk to our guests." Yoko glared in anger at her son. "My apologies, my son doesn't usually treat others well when he's hungry and there are visitors in the morning."

"Oh, that's quite alright Mrs. Sakaki, we were just finished eating anyhow, thanks anyway for your hospitality, my sister and I will just be on our way." Drake bowed in respect towards Yoko as both he and his sister got up and walked out their door with Yuya following after them.

    Later that day, as the protagonists reached the You-Show Duel School. Yuya, Drake, and Shadala arrived just in time to discuss a common duel monsters lecture.

"Good evening dueling students, I am your teacher for today, my name is Shuzo Hiragi, but you can just simply call me Mr. Hiragi, which is much easier to remember." Shuzo stated to the class. "And today, we have a very special treat for you students here in this classroom today, a lecture on about Synchro Monsters and Fusion Monsters, led by our very own student experts on that very subject, Drake and Shadala Draezion."

Both Shadala and Drake got up from their respective desks and bowed to the class.

"Thank you, Mr. Hiragi, now then class, Synchro Monsters are identified as an extra deck monster that can only be summoned out to the field with something that is known as a tuner monster, and as for what they are, tuner monsters act as a key requirement in order to bring out powerful synchro monsters by tuning themselves to that of a non-tuner monster." Drake explained as the projector began to show clips of Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing and Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing, Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing, and Bi'An, Earth of the Yang Zing. "Now, once you have a tuner monster out, as well as a non tuner monster, you can send both monsters to the grave to synchro summon a synchro monster from your extra deck, provided that your monsters levels are the EXACT sum of the monster you wish to synchro summon"

As Drake was going about his lecture on synchro monsters, Ally raised her hand as she had a question.

"Yes, Ally?"

"Well, what do you mean by the exact sum?" Ally asked

"I'm glad you asked, what I actually meant by the exact sum, I meant the exact sum of the levels of the monster you want to synchro summon." Drake Explained. "You see class, by adding the total levels of both the tuner monster AND the non-tuner monster or monsters, you can synchro summon a synchro monster, provided that the said monster in question's level is the exact amount." Drake once again explained. "For example, here is a slide of 4 of my cards, Baxia, Chiwen, Suanni, and Bi'An. Now, when you add the levels of Chiwen, Suanni, and Bi'An, what number of levels do you get?" he asked.

Tatsuya raised his hand like he knew the answer to the math problem.

"Yes, Tatsuya?"

"8 levels Drake sir." Tatsuya replied.

"Correct, my fine student. Level 8 is the total number of stars that Chiwen, Suanni, and Bi'An make when synchro summoning a level 8 synchro monster." Drake responded happily to show he was proud like the class knew what he was talking about.

    Meanwhile, outside of the You-Show Duel School, stood a blonde-haired woman with a white skirt, white flowing shirt, a white knee-sock on her left leg, and a pair of brown eyes.

Back inside the classroom while Drake was giving his lecture on what he personally knows about synchro monsters, Shadala started to have something of a migraine.

Drake then rushed at the sight of her sister in pain. "Shadala, what's wrong? Do you sense something?" he asked in concern.

the five students then rushed in to see what was the problem.

Shadala shook her head in response "No, not someTHING, rather someONE, and she's close by, VERY close..."

"How close?" Drake asked.

"She's at our front door right now." Shadala replied in pain.

"Well, is she dangerous?" Yuzu asked worriedly.

"Well, if this person's another powerful duelist who has come to threaten this place, I'll be sure to make it so that she doesn't." Drake answered as he armed his duel disk.

Our characters then raced through the front door only to find that there was nobody there.

"That's odd, I thought that whoever my sister sensed would be at our front door…" Drake stated until he was interrupted by a mysterious voice that seemed to be coming from nowhere.

"Well, you're half-right about that one brother…" 

Drake then looked up to see a mysterious woman on the rooftop of the you-show duel school.

"Hey, how'd she get up there???" Yuya asked puzzled.

"Well whoever you are, you're going to wish you never came here to threaten us!!!" Drake exclaimed.

"Threaten you??? My, my, my, you've got the wrong idea there brother, I didn't come to threaten anybody here, I just simply wanted a duel, me and you, one-on-one." She giggled briefly before falling down to the ground and landing gracefully.

"Well, if it's a duel you want, you got it, I take it you must be one of the participants for the Maiami Quintraggon, correct? If so, I'll be more than happy to beat you." Drake stated as deactivate his duel disk ready to duel her.

"But of course, but before we do, allow me to first introduce myself, I am Starla, Starla Draezion, and against me and my deck, you'll soon be seeing stars after I'm done with you!!!" She exclaimed as she activated her duel disk.

Both players then drew their respective hands as their life point meter showed they each had 4000 life points.

"Lets duel!!!" Both duelists exclaimed.

"Ladies first, Drake!!!" She then looked at her starting hand to find Satellarknight Unukalhai, Satellarknight Skybridge, Stellarnova Alpha, Satellarknight Deneb, and Satellarknight Procyon.

"First, I'll summon Satellarknight Unukalhai!!!"

Satellarknight Unukalhai appeared on the field as it gave its battle cry. Satellarknight Unukalhai looked like a warrior clad in white and gold armor that resembled a snake-like creature than anything else. It was a monster with stats of 1800 ATK./1000 DEF.

"You see, thanks to his ability, I send another Tellarknight monster from my deck to the graveyard." She explained as her deck started to glow a yellow light as the cards were shot from her duel disk flew around in a gravitational orbit around her, as she then grabbed the card she wanted and sent it to her graveyard. As soon as she did that, the cards then returned to the deck slot where they were then shuffled to her deck.

"Now, Just to keep you guessing, I'll play two facedowns and that's all for my turn, now your turn, and do at least TRY to have fun, brother." Starla teased lovingly at Drake whereas he just grumbled.

"Very well, my turn, DRAW!!!" Drake exclaimed as he began to look at his opening hand which had Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing, Yang Zing Path, Yang Zing Creation, Bi'An, Earth of the Yang Zing, Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing, and Supply Squad.

"First, I cast Supply Squad, so, should someone dare to destroy one of my monsters, I get to draw a card, thing is though, I can only do so once per turn." he explained as a holograph of the card appeared on the field which looked like a picture of the Goblin Attack Force carrying dynamite as it explodes all throughout the background.

"But until that time comes, I summon Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing!!!"

Suanni (1900 ATK./0 DEF.) appeared on the field in a pillar of flames as it flew across the sky until it then landed swiftly on the ground.

"Now, Suanni, time to burn Unukalhai to a crisp!!! Go, Dragon Comet Flare!!!" Drake commanded

Suanni then flew up high into the air and began to breathe a a blast of fire from its mouth at Unukalhai. But before the attack could even impact the creature, a sudden bright light shot from the sky and teleported Unukalhai out of the line of fire as the attack missed and burst into a bonfire on the ground where the creature once stood.

"What!?!?! It disappeared!?!!?! Where'd it go!!!?!?!" Drake exclaimed puzzled.

"Well, since you asked, I'll tell you, you see, when your monster attacked Unukalhai, I activated my face-down card Satellarknight Skybridge, with it, I can return a Satellarknight back to the deck, but only so  that way, a new monster will take its place, Like such as my 2nd Satellarknight, Altair!!!" She explained as a beam of light descended upon the dueling field and a new monster Altair struck the field as it landed. Altair looked like another armored warrior in white and gold armor, much like Unukalhai, except his armor looked more like an angel than anything else. It was a monster with 1700 ATK./1300 DEF.

"Also, there's something about my monster you might be interested in knowing, you see, when its summoned, I can revive back another Satellarknight monster just to give him company, so, I'll bring back Satellarknight Vega!!!" Starla exclaimed as her monster started to shoot a beam of light from its hula-hoop-like device at the ground which started to create a portal to the grave as the portal then shot a pillar of light as Vega began ascending from the portal created by Altair. Vega looked like a maiden clad in white and gold armor like the rest of the other Tellarknight monsters, except it also had a white dress as well, and a hula-hoop-esque device as well. It was a monster with 1200 ATK./1600 DEF.

"As for what its ability is, Vega, when summoned, can allow me to special summon another Satellarknight, this time however, from my hand, so, I'll Summon Satellarknight Deneb!!!" She explained once again as Vega's hula-hoop began glowing and began shooting a beam that created another pillar of light with a new creature merging from it. Deneb looked like a female ballerina dancer clad in white, gold and silver armor as it also had a sword in her grasp followed by the same hula-hoop that had what looked like a compass to the stars. It was a monster with 1500 ATK./1000 DEF.

"And lastly, for its special ability, I add a Satellarknight monster from my deck to my hand, and I'll choose Satellarknight Alsahm!!!" Starla explained as she took a card from her deck and revealed it to be Satellarknight Alsahm.

"Grr… I'll play 1 card face-down and end my turn." Drake growled.

"Aww, don't feel too bad brother, I for one thought you did a fine job losing to your own sibling!! I draw!!" Starla exclaimed as the card she drew was Satellarknight Betelgeuse.

"Now, I overlay my three level 4 Satellarknights, Vega, Deneb, and Altair, with those three monsters, I fill the overlay network in order to Xyz summon a monster that will truly make you get star-struck!!!"

As she said that, all three of her monsters turned into yellowish golden beams of light that flew up into the sky and into a galaxy-style portal that appeared on the ground.

Starla smiled "Now, I Xyz Summon!!! Stellarknight Triverr!!!"

As the Overlay Network erupted with power, a new monster appeared. Stellarknight Trivver looked like a shining knight carrying a triangle shield that appeared to be created from the 3 hoop-like constructs that the other satellarknights had, a white cape, and also a blue lightsaber that appeared to look as though it can slice through any monster with ease. It was a monster with 2100 ATK./2500 DEF.

"And with Triverr out and about, your chances of winning this game have just grown slim, and getting slimmer. You see, once my monster is successfully Xyz Summoned, all other cards on our field are now returned to our hand. Now go!!! Trivver!!! Activate Winter Formation, Celestial Hurricane!!!"

As Starla said that, storming clouds then began to gather around the site of their duel with lightning striking the ground and finally to Trivver who absorbed the electricity and with a single swipe of his blade, it created an energy shockwave that blew all the cards away back to the hand.

"Now that that's out of the way, I now activate Triverr's 2nd ability, by detaching one overlay unit, I now select one of your cards in your hand and send that card to the graveyard."

"Great, just my luck" Drake thought.

As soon as Starla said that, one of orbiting yellow spheres around Triverr then started to go into his blade, which then absorbed the sphere and fired a taser blast from its lightsaber at one of Drake's cards, which was Suanni.

"And trust me when I say the worst isn't over, Now, I summon Satellarknight Betelgeuse!!!" 

Betelgeuse then appeared onto the battlefield in a pillar of light. Betelgeuse looked like another warrior in gold and white armor, much like the other Tellarknights, with the same hoop-like device as the others had as well. He also had flowing gray hair, and a rounded sword. It was a monster with 700 ATK./1900 DEF.

"And now that he's successfully summoned, I add to my hand another tellarknight monster, like such as the recently detached Altair!!!" Starla exclaimed as her monster vanished which made the graveyard slot in her duel disk glow and Altair was ejected out of it and added to her hand.

"With that out of the way, Triverr, attack Drake directly with star strike slash!!!!"

As she said that, Triverr charged at Drake. And with one swipe of his sword, Drake's life points dropped down from 4000 to 1900 in an instant.

"Well, I think that's about enough punishment for now, so, I'll play a face-down and end my turn." Starla stated as she reset her Stellarnova Alpha trap.

"Now, should he dare try to even fight back against me with a monster with special abilities as well, or anything else besides that, that will only end up backfiring on him, courtesy of my trap, Stellarnova Alpha." She thought.

"My turn now!!! I draw!!!" Drake then looked at the card he drew which was Dark Hole.

"Now, I summon Bi'An, Earth of The Yang Zing!!!" 

Bi'An then rose from the ground via. a crevasse in the earth and flew out of said crevasse and onto the dueling field.

Drake then exclaimed "And now, I activate the spell card, Dark Hole!!!"

"With it, I now destroy all monsters present on the field!!!"

Starla then waved her finger at him saying "Not so fast, my dear brother, I activate my trap, Stellarnova Alpha!!! Now, at the cost of giving up one of my tellarknight monsters, I can not only stop your dark hole spell dead in its tracks and destroy it, but I also get to draw a card because of it."

As her trap was revealed, Triverr then suddenly transformed into stardust that flew into the black hole that was created by Drake's spell card as electricity started to crackle in the vortex, causing the black hole to shrink smaller and smaller until it completely vanished.

"And with my monster now gone, his special ability now activates, allowing me to revive back Satellarknight Vega in defense mode!!!" Starla stated as her previous monster from the last 2 turns came back, only now it took a defensive pose to show that it was in defense mode.

"And now, with her brought back, I now special summon another Tellarknight monster from my hand to join the field, like Satellarknight Altair!!!"

Altair once again appeared onto the battlefield, this time, it took on the position of attack mode.

"And with him, I revive back Satellarknight Betelgeuse, but only so that I can sacrifice him to add deneb back to my hand"

Betelgeuse reappeared onto the field briefly before vanishing, causing the graveyard to glow and ejected Deneb from the graveyard and into her hand.

"So, is that all? Or do you still have more you wish to show me?" She teased.

"Well, since you asked, I cast Supply squad once again and I'll play one card face-down and end my turn." Drake replied.

"Mmhmm, that's what I thought... Now, it's my turn now, Draw!" Starla stated as she touched her deck only so that way she could draw a card from her deck, which was Stellarnova Wave.

"Hmm… Lets see… what to do, what to do? Oh, I know, I'll place one card face-down and summon Satellarknight Deneb, and just like before, I now add a satellarknight from my deck to my hand, and I'll pick Satellarknight Sirius."

Deneb appeared on the dueling field once again, and as she did, Starla's deck began glowing, and another card ejected from her duel disk which landed in her hand in which she revealed it to be Satellarknight Sirius.

"Great, she has 3 level 4 monsters again, this doesn't look good." Drake thought grimly.

"By that angered look on your face, I assume you know of what's coming don't you?" Starla asked.

"Indeed I do…" he replied briefly in a grim tone.

"Excellent, then in that case, I will just show you all what I meant then, I overlay level 4 Deneb, Vega, and Altair, and with these three monsters I fill the Overlay Network!!!" she exclaimed as her monsters once again became 3 yellowish golden beams of light that flew up into the sky and into a galaxy-style portal that appeared on the ground.

"Now, I Xyz Summon Stellarknight Delteros!!!"

Stellarknight Delteros looked like a combination of the satellarknights Altair, Vega, and Deneb, as it has the pink parts on his legs which were of Vega's pink dress, his blue underarmor, which belonged to Altair, and his golden armor trim and sword which belonged to Deneb. It was a monster with stats of 2500 ATK./2100 DEF.

"Now, I use Delteros's special ability, by detaching one overlay unit, I can now destroy one card on your field, and you know what? I'll pick Supply Squad!!" She exclaimed once again.

"Oh, not good." Drake thought.

Delteros then raised his sword and pointed it at Drake's Supply Squad and fired a beam of electricity from the sword at Drake's card which began to shatter into pieces.

"Now, lets get on with other matters, like Bi'An for example, I wonder if he will be able to withstand my Delteros's Star-Cleaver Strike?!!?!!?!"

As Starla asked that question, Delteros charged at Bi'An, and with one swipe of his sword, Bi'An was cleaved into two, and soon vanished after. Drake's life points then dropped from 1400 to 500.

"My, my, how quickly we forget, by destroying Bi'An, I can easily replace him with another Yang Zing monster that will take his place, like such as Jiaotu, Darkness of The Yang Zing!!!"

Jiaotu appeared onto the field and took a defensive stance to show that it was in defense mode.

"Very well then, summon whatever monster you like from your deck, but know that no monster in your deck is strong enough to take down Delteros!!!" Starla remarked.

"Well, aren't you the confident one…" Drake teased. "I draw!!!" he then looked at his card which was Taotie, Shadow of the Yang Zing.

"First off, I activate the special ability of Jiaotu, by sending Taotie and Chiwen from my hand, to my grave, I can now bring forth 2 more Yang Zing monsters to join the field, Like such as Suanni and Bixi, Fire and Water of the Yang Zing!!"

Both monsters then appeared on the dueling field both giving off roars when they entered the field as Bixi hid in his shell and Suanni took to the skies as it flew 15 ft. in the air.

"Now, I activate the spell card, Yang Zing Path, with it, I shuffle Bi'An, Taotie, and Suanni back from my grave and into my deck, but only so that way I can draw 2 cards because of that."

His graveyard then started glowing only to show energy-silhouettes of his 3 monsters returning to the deck, only so that it was shuffled and ready for drake to draw his next two cards.

"Now, with the power of Yang Zing Path, I DRAW!!!" Drake roared as he drew his two cards only for multi-colored flames to streak from the two cards he just drew. He then looked at the cards he drew which were Bi'An, Earth of the Yang Zing and Supply Squad.

"Now, I tune my level 2 Jiaotu, Darkness of the Yang Zing to the level 4 Fire of the Yang Zing, Suanni and level 2 Water of the Yang Zing, Bixi to synchro summon Baxia, Brightness of the Yang Zing!!!"

Jiaotu then disappeared, becoming 2 green rings and Suanni, as well as Bixi, flew into them. Their bodies then became a pair of outlines, and then into 6 glowing spheres, joined by 2 more spheres from the rings.

"Now, bear witness, sister, for this is the beginning of your end!!!" Drake exclaimed as his beast landed behind him as it then gave a thundering roar. Baxia looked a combination of Suanni and Bi'An, with Chiwen's armor as well, except that its mane was brown as opposed to it being red or orange. Followed by a pair of orange wings. It was a monster with 2300 ATK./2600 DEF.

"And just how is that thing 'The beginning of my end' again?" Starla asked.

"Simple, once Baxia is Synchro Summoned successfully, I select one card on your field for each different attribute yang zing monster I used to synchro summon Baxia with, and they each get shuffled to the deck." Drake Answered.

"They what!?!!?!?!?!?!"

Baxia then started to give off a glowing blue light as it then starts to give its thundering roar which reverberated into a shockwave that made Delteros vanish into the extra deck.

"And unfortunately, that's only the least of your worries, because now, thanks to Suanni and Bixi, since they were both used as synchro materials for my mighty beast, not only does he receive 500 attack and defense points, but he also receives an immunity towards any and all traps that are thrown his way!!!" Drake stated.

Baxia then started to gain a fiery red aura as he suddenly got a rise in power from 2300 to 2800 in an instant, as well as a blue aura that showed that he was immune to traps.

"Now I summon Bi'An, Earth of the Yang Zing!!!"

Bi'An then started to rise from the ground via. a crevasse in the ground which it created, as it then gave its roar.

"Now, I cast Supply Squad, and now the field is now set, for Baxia's 2nd special ability, you see, by destroying one of my monsters, I get to revive back a Yang Zing from the grave, provided that it is level 4 or below." Drake explained

Bi'An then started to vanish in a flurry of stardust as a portal beneath him started to form and got sucked into it.

"Now, be reborn, Suanni, Fire of the Yang Zing!!!"

A pillar of fire then shot from the portal only for Suanni to stand before them.

"And now, since one Yang Zing monster was destroyed, I not only draw a card, but I also now summon a new Yang Zing monster to replace it, now arise, Chiwen, Light of the Yang Zing!!!" He exclaimed, as a pillar of light shot from the sky until a new entity was standing before them. Chiwen looked like a mixture between a fish's body with the head of a dragon, it was a monster with 0 ATK./0 DEF.

"And with Chiwen out and about, and my Supply Squad still in effect, I draw!!!"

He did just that as he drew a card which was Burial From a Different Dimension.

"Now, I tune level 1 Chiwen with my Level 4 Suanni!!!"

Chiwen then disappeared, becoming a single glowing ring and Suanni flew into it. It's body then became an outline, then into 4 glowing spheres, joined by one more sphere from the ring.

"I synchro summon!!! Armades, Keeper of Boundaries!!!"

Armades appeared in the flash of light created by the synchro summon. Armades looked like an angelic entity with one white wing on his left side, plus a fiendish arm on his right side that looked like it was covered in fire. He also had a torn robe as well. It was a monster with 2300 ATK./1500 DEF.

"And just like before, because Suanni was used as synchro material for Armades, he gains 500 attack and defense points!!" he stated.

Suddenly, a red aura enveloped Armades, as it was strengthening him by the sudden increase in power from 2300 to 2800 in an instant.

"And with nothing to protect you, you are about as good as defeated, Baxia, Armades, finish her off now!!!"

Responding to Drake's command, both Baxia and Armades nodded to their master and blasted Starla with a burst of green fire from Baxia and blue fire from Armades.

Starla then began to shriek in agony as the intensity of the flames suddenly made her life points down to Zero.

Drake then walked over to Starla, as he did that, he lent his hand out to her. "Hey, need a hand there, Starry?"

Starla then blushed and couldn't help but grab Drake's hand and hug him.

"Oh great, not this again, can someone please help!!!" Drake asked.

Starla then stopped hugging him and apologized. "Sorry Drake, I am just soo happy to be…"

Drake then interrupted her saying "Yeah, yeah, you're happy to be with your long, lost brother, I get it, I've already been through that schtick with my other sister, Shadala."

Shadala then shrugged saying "Well, you could just lighten up a little you know, wouldn't hurt for you to be nice to your sisters, you know."

Drake then sighed "Fine, sorry if I ever hurt you, especially in our duel."

Starla then replied "no, no, it's quite alright, but thanks for your concern brother, I really liked that."

He then smiled "You know, I have a feeling this is only the beginning of something more grand than even I myself could imagine, apart from the tournament of course."

"Tournament? Oh right, that reminds me, I have received an invite to such a tournament, so, I guess since I lost to you, I guess that means I'm apart of your team now right?" She asked.

"Sure, I already have Shadala on my team right now, so, all we need is two more duelists who also have an invite to the Maiami Quintragon and get in that tournament." Drake replied.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Shadala stated.

"Well, that certainly was quite the show you put up for the duel school there, Drake." Yuya commented.

"Thanks Yuya, and thank all of you, you are all very kind and generous to watch our duel with such anticipation." he announced.

"Oh hey, no problem, the rest of us loved your match." Yuzu answered.

"Yes, and I'm sure you will see plenty more soon enough, of this, I can definitely promise you all." Drake concluded.

The group then looked towards the setting sun in the distance, looking forward to the future that will shine a path to their victory.
